It's Monday again!! The weeks certainly fly by.
Things are really starting to pick up at work and I am busy right through to morning most nights. It's kinda nice that way; makes the time go faster and I don't get so sleepy
We finally got all the back yard work done this past weekend. The pool is opened and vacuumed, the patio has been pressure washed, the tables, chairs and umbrella's are in place. The swing, glider and hammock are together and ready for some relaxing. The flower beds are doing good, tomatoes planted and the raspberry bushes are spreading everywhere!
Strawberry season is just starting. I need to go and pick a bunch. I need to make jam this year and I want to freeze a bunch for my smoothie machine.
Have a great week everyone!
Good morning Storme...guess I'll have to come over some day and try out the hammock. I don't have one of those but I have a swing. I wonder if I could get in it without falling out the other side ...lol .
I just have my front circular flower bed to plant, I weeded it all out yesterday. I don't have to put too much in it because the shrubs are getting pretty big, so I just have to do around the edge of it. I got what Mom calls "busy lizzies".
I sat out last night on my swing reading a book, I enjoy my deck, I have lots of flowers on it this year.
I think I am going to make some freezer jam too, didn't get it done last year...just about 8 jars of peach jam,and it's long gone.
Don't work too hard sis...have a great day!!

Good Morning Storme and Pat,
Wow you two sound like two busy beavers. I love this weather we are having, it is giving me lots of energy. I got the far side of the pond with it's first cutting on Saturday. There are under ground springs on that side and cannot get to areas that need it. So will venture over there again today and do a lower cut.
I got a electric power washer and it is nice, but not alot of power, I got the green done on the shaded side of deck. Next under the deck. Save that for a hot day. Then the shower that I get from the spraying back on me will not be so bad.

Busy, busy place around here this week. We are hosting the 25th Scatcherd Classic Chartiy Golf Tournament. This includes a big dinner, live aution, entertainment etc etc. It cost something like $500 just to golf and the dinner is $75/person etc etc. Too rich for me! We are expecting about 700 people to be around over the next couple of days. Of course, they don't all stay overnight - lol - we don't have that many rooms! The funny thing is...I don't know what the "Chartiy" is. I assume there is one!
It's a little after 5 am and I am pretty tired this morning. I didn't really get any sleep yesterday so I will be ready to zonk right out today.
I heard yesterday, that a guy I went to school with died, he just turned 48. They found him in the yard and think it was probably a heart attack.
I enjoy my deck too, Pat. I used to like going out and having my first cup of coffee of the day out there, but I guess I won't be doing that this year, since I will still be working nights.
Yes Terri, you better wait until it is a little warmer to have your "shower"
Good luck in the grass cutting!
HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Sheesh...I drove all the way out to Heamans for strawberries and they were sold out for the day...what a bummer. I did get to buy some nice flowers in the greenhouse, now I just have to find a place to put them all. I got my front bed all planted yesterday and it's going to look really nice when they start growing a little bigger,Joe complimented me on how it looked when he came home from work, and I didn't think he would even notice!!
Terri..I don't think Storme and I have near as much work to do outside as what you have...I don't know how you manage to get everything done. Do you get time to sit on your deck and enjoy your fowl? Don't over due trying to get all that grass cut...let the horses do it for you..lol
Have a good day ...don't work too hard!!!

I'm glad the leg is better, can't have you slowed down for July,we have so much to look forward to!!! Only 30 more days for us,we'll be in Oakville at Susie's on Sunday afternoon on the 16th. I think we will leave Sat. night sometime,I prefer late night driving because the roads are not busy at all, and it's approx.10hrs.[ that is with a few stops for coffee and gas,]just to get to Parkersburg. Then about 3 hours to Susie's. I checked out my wardrobe on Wed. I have everything I need so I just have to pack and wait!!!

I found my 70's outfit it is the dress I had planned to wear as a top with white Capri's and white wedges so I ditched the Capri's and added some shorts that cant be seen but will make me comfortable. Josh will still wear his Hawaiian top and khaki shorts outfit after all the the Brady bunch went to Hawaii. mom has a flowered top still needs bottoms though.29 days till we leave here!!!!!!!!!!!

yesterday was awful I am still reeling from the treatment I got! this is my cousin Cortney's wedding and she lives in Virginia so I went to Davids bridal here for my fitting but the dress was being ordered down there so it would match theirs and I wouldn't look stupid and mess up my cousins wedding. this sales lady was so mean. I would have left in tears if Sharon my friend and seamstress hadn't gone with me they didnt have a dress in my size to try on and then they didn't have a tape measure if Sharon didnt know what to do I wouldn't be able to get my dress needless to say I wont ever buy from that store or any other Davids bridal if I can avoid it in the future.
